On Wednesday May 28th a party of us went to The Bowes Museum to see The Shafts of Light exhibition. There were paintings from the Ashington Pitman Painters group, Norman Cornish and McGuiness as well as other contemporary works from The Settlement at Spennymoor. Although it poured with rain all the way there and back, it was an enjoyable trip. Tea and scones in the cafe afterwards.
